A big percentage of what happens (in Church), but also in the world, depends on women. It is for this reason, that we pay extra attention to the character of women.
We place a lot of emphasis on humility and submission, which is resultant from giving off the fruit of the Spirit all the time.
We learn (as women) not to apportion blame, but to explore ways in which we may have wronged the ones with whom we relate on a daily basis, be it at home or at work.
Here, the Bible is our working ‘text book’. Therefore, we refer to it to guide us, as much as we can.
Successful and Happy Lives
Before we can be successful in any area of our lives, we must work on our character by the grace of GOD. In fact, in order for us to have happy relationships, happy marriages, happy homes, happy children, and happy lives, we must first be delivered from carnal desires. Therefore, at Zion Hope Ministries – ZHMM, we work hard to get rid of our weaknesses and to walk in the Spirit all the time.
Second in Command
We (women) will never be men; we CAN NEVER be men! It is for this reason that we are happy being second in command, in the home! Consequently, we celebrate the men in our lives, just as we celebrate being women.
We submit to male leadership (in our homes) with gentle and quiet spirits; we dress as women should, talk as they do, and even take our place in the kitchen. However, we also take our place in the ‘board room of life’ and on the pulpit.
“And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth” (Isaiah 11:2-4).
Here, we believe that women are the spiritual support that men need, away from the outside world. Therefore, we pray for the protection of the heads of our homes (our husbands), but also that they should have the spirit of the fear of the Lord. We go on to pray that, they are men of wisdom and that they operate in the seven spirits of GOD!
As women, we are the prayer warriors for the fruit of the womb; we pray for our unborn children and our existing children. We pray for our grandchildren, but also for the neighbour’s children.
We pray for our children’s protection, against the evil in this world. We then pray them into responsible and God-fearing individuals who walk in the Spirit
